The #RESTART4Danube consortium held the kick-off meeting of the project on the 1st and 2nd of September 2020. Under the given circumstances, the consortium with over 35 persons, met online.
The Kick-Off meeting was officially opened by Mr. Marius Valentin Niculae, Project Officer at the Joint Secretariat of the DTP. Then, Prof. Alexandru Marin, the Project Manager of the Lead Partner #UniversityPolitehnicaBucharest, started the “Tour de Table” by shortly presenting his university to the rest of the attendees. Afterwards, the other project partners followed. During the day, the thematic Working Packages were presented, putting focus on the project’s 5 Local Action Plans #LAPs.
After the end of the first day’s official meeting, partners met in the evening – again online – for an #InformalGetTogether. Here, the partners presented peculiarities and the beauty of the Danube Region #DR in their countries. As an enjoyable end to the informal meeting, the participants played a riddle contest, led by the Project Lead Partner.
The welcome speech in the second day of the Kick-Off meeting was given to us by Mr. Tudor Prisecaru, President of the Senate of the #UniversityPolitehnicaBucharest. Following the discussions form the previous day, the second day was mostly used to discuss about the general Project structure and plan, project management and communication activities.
Finishing the Kick-Off meeting on a high note with a short session of conclusions and brainstorming, the participants are now looking forward to meeting again in the next communication meeting mid-September, to discuss about the Kick-Off event in October.
